Who We Are: One Warrior Won is a national recognized 501(c)3 born out of the frustration of its founder, Rich Brewer, a Marine Corps combat veteran, while trying to find help after an attempted suicide. Rich discovered a lack of factual knowledge about just what is PTSd and how it affects the warrior and their families. These misconceptions have led to the misunderstanding and often the mistreatment of those who have given so much for this country. Currently 22 veterans a day commit suicide*, many of who have struggled with the war within for years. Their needs are basic, but can seem insurmountable when dealing with the complex issues of PTSd. One Warrior Won gives a voice to the voiceless, and hope to the hopeless, while advocating for Honor, Dignity and Humanity for all warriors.
One Warrior Won (OWW) is a 501(c)3 focused on addressing the complex issues of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSd)/Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) with innovative solutions to stop their potentially destructive behavior, and then advance our servicemen and veterans to productively return to the society they fought for.
VISION: OWW will not only help our servicemen and veterans but also their spouse and children, their parents/brothers/sisters, and their friends given that the effects of PTSd commonly infecst those closest to the servicemen and veterans.
By bridging the gap between the American citizens and military personnel about the perils of PTSd, OWW will connect solutions to those who are suffering.
