Greg Bishop: Though now living in Charlotte, North Carolina, Greg spent much of his life along the Maine coast. A native of Portland, Greg graduated from Cheverus High School.

After earning a degree in Political Science at the University of Southern Maine, he simultaneously entered the Masters program in Public Policy and Management at the Muskie School of Public Service and took over as the Director of Admissions at Cheverus. He also served as the deputy finance director of the Maine Republican party.

His move to North Carolina came when senior leadership offered him the position of Marketing Director for the third largest firm in the country, based in Charlotte. In 2013, Greg “came off the road” and joined Consolidated Planning, one of Guardian’s highest performing firms, as their Director of Marketing and Practice Management. 



Joseph K. Loughlin is a former Assistant Chief of Police for the city of Portland, Maine. He also served as the Interim Chief and retired from service in January 2010 after 30 years of police work. He has the historic distinction of achieving and serving in every single sworn rank within the Portland Police Department. He is one of the original founders of the peer support team for assisting officers during periods of stress, as well as formal in-service training programs on that topic.  He developed policy for Critical Incident Stress debriefings for officers after traumatic events and specifically for police-involved shootings and use of deadly force.

Joe is a graduate of the FBI National Academy, Command training in Quantico, Virginia.  He holds a Masters degree from University of Southern Maine and is a graduate of St. Joseph’s College.

Joe is a published author of “Finding Amy” a Non-Fiction account of the Amy St. Laurent homicide case in 2001. 

He currently consults for 3 SI International Security Systems and functions as a regional coordinator of police trainings and special projects.


Jeffrey Denning has experience as a noncommissioned and commissioned U.S. Army officer, in both active duty and the Reserves, including a mobilization in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.  He has experience as a SWAT team leader, undercover Federal Air Marshal, and U.S. State Department diplomatic security contractor for the U.S.-led “Roadmap to Mideast Peace” in Israel and Palestine. 

He holds a master’s degree in military special operations with an emphasis in terrorism and a bachelor’s degree in law enforcement administration.  He has written for the Washington Times,, and has been featured on CNN, CBS and other news media. 

He also compiled and authored the books Warrior SOS: Interviews, Insights and Inspiration.



Bill Pusey works for Promontory Inter-financial Network as a Senior Business Development Advisor for New England managing over 150 banks in his portfolio.  He has over 14 years of banking experience, ranging from regional branch management to business development at various financial institutions in Maine. In addition to his experience in banking, he has owned his own retail sports store, worked for various other national companies and was a corporate development officer for the University of Southern Maine.
